Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a hands-on religious formation for children based on the educational method of Dr. Maria Montessori. CGS begins at the age of three and seeks to prepare a sacred, "hands-on" space for children called an atrium, in which both children and their catechist can hear, ponder, and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Catholic faith as revealed in the Scriptures and the Liturgy.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd:

• Focuses on the essentials of our relationship with Jesus and the natural world
• Supports the child's natural wonder and awe
• Supports the growth of a relationship with Jesus

We are excited and blessed to be able to offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd here at St. Simon for 3-5 years of age, both in the School ministry and Faith Formation ministry.
